This video is about the most common repair that Excel Shop sees coming in for their professional help. Chairs eventually become unsteady. The joints come loose and it’s time for a re-glue. Steven Weber, owner of Excel Shop Furniture Restoration says that often when people try to make the repair themselves, they don’t take the chair apart. This haphazard fix often results in glue that doesn’t touch any of the surrounding wood. Steven reminds us that you can’t glue air! To be certain that you have a quality fix, the chairs should be disassembled, reglued, and then put back together again with a tight fit. No more shaky, unsteady chairs to deal with.
